HELLO!

Fiberrarium is the wooly passion project of Jenna Carls, enthusiastic Albany transplant. Jenna started her fiber journey as an overactive youngster learning to knit from a friend’s mom because she couldn’t keep her hands to her self in the backseat of the van driving 10 hour home from space camp.

Since then, Jenna has developed a strong sense of personal boundaries, but retains her eagerness for knitting expanding her horizons to include spinning, dyeing and weaving.

In 2015 Fiberrarium came to be, first as a line of hand-dyed yarns for knitters and crocheters and then as a line of handwovens - so everyone can enjoy the magic of handdyed wool accessories.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the successful reception to such a small brand, and I’ve enjoyed selling at boutiques across the country, the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival, Knitter’s Day Out, Bust Craftacular NYC, Stitches Midwest, and Philly’s Art Star Craft Bazaar among others.

Wrapped up in wool, hoping for a snow day.

From 2015-2018, Fiberrarium was located at the Millworks studios in Harrisburg, PA. A personal move meant relocating to Albany, NY and while I miss my Central PA friends dearly, I couldn’t be happier. I work out of my Center Square home in a 150 year old building and I’m constantly inspired by the history of space and the warmth and closeness of the neighborhood.

My workhorse loom is Luna, a Glimakra Ideal.
